Medium Wave goes somewhat off-kilter, and both topsy and turvy this week as Dr Volume brings the funky elements and DJ Rules goes all avant garde and weird....all those early mornings digging through car-boot sales for vinyl are clearly taking their toll. Fortunately, although the music is floating in space the chat is as earthy and as ever and among other things we discuss how much it costs to get in a helicopter with the Gang of Four, and the lyrics of Buster Bloodvessel. Sailing the Medium Waves with us in this episode are: Echo Party, Onra, The Milkshakes, Howling Bells, Chrysalis, Cabaret Voltaire, UT, Archie Shepp, Autechre, MV&EE and the mighty Michael Mcdonald.

Better late than never, it's Podcast number 23. This time around there is a definite prog rock and free jazz feel to the show. Expect honking saxes, meandering solos and some crazy time signatures. Don't worry there is some other stuff too, but purists will be suitably irked by the playlist which includes: Position Normal, Toro Y Moi, Here and Now, Blurt, Genesis, Ceephax Acid Crew, Sun-Ra, Primal Scream, Madlib, Gentle Giant, New York Pig Funkers, John Martyn and The Focus Group. All interspersed with the usual enlightened chat about all things pop and rock, and as always brought to you in a association with www.recordshopcity.co.uk.

Plus, when the microphobes are fadled down we bring great joy of rotatety diskers broadcastled to interweblopers for your eardroves including: Daevid Allen, Lone, Lon & Derrek Van Eaton, Field Music, Tapes, Grizzly Bear with Michael McDonald, Nite Jewel, Hawkwind, Bullion Vs The Beach Boys, Scotty, Dwilt Sharpp, The mighty Fall, Huey "Piano" Smith and Spiriualized.

Allo Allo, Son le Signe Moyen Podcast!. We've a sort of Gallic flavour to this show, any excuse to relive the moment when a rather 'tired & emotional' Monsieur Gainsborg tries his best chat-up line on a somewhat Startled Ms W.Houston live on TV. Plus the return of 'Diff'rent Strokes', why changing the name of your band is the kiss of death, and who are the Original Bucks Fizz? Plus popular hits of the day from the likes of Flynn 500, Deerhunter, DJ Vadim (who is of course not French, sorry sir..the clue was in the name really), Junior Boys, The Premieres, Working for a Nuclear Free City, Mr Day, Ametsub, Coco Rosie, Chrome, Mike Slott, The 5th Dimension and The Boredoms.
