Been a while since there’s been a natural “decades” show, which is where I look back at the shows from 161-169 and bring back the most popular performers for another spin on the TPN Rock player.

Given that I skipped #160 as a decades show as I was still in SXSW recaps and the Eurovision Rocktacular, and #150 was naturally bigger than normal. So almost thirty shows since I could go “weren’t they great… again!”

Starts fast, the energy builds as the tempo drops, then it all kicks off again to build to the ending. That’s this week’s TPN Rock, but the highlights are never enough, you really need to listen.

It’s definitely more Whispering Bob Harris than Tommy Vance this week as TOPN Rock goes mellow – I suspect my brain is just whacked from the house move and looking for some salve. That works for me, and I hope it works for you as well.

I hate moving house. I love rock music – so in al the boxes, packing, bubble wrap and general chaos, it’s time to salve the soul by taking a bit of power chords, melodic harmonies,  some great music… and sharing it with you all out there.

Back from Oslo, and in all the rush I missed doing a show last week – I blame the public clamour for more Unofficial Eurovision Podcasts after it hit the front page of iTunes, but hey, time for the best of European Rock!

We have a Prime Minister! Strictly speaking we never went without one apart from a  short 20 minute period, but hey, that’s the UK transition period over. On with the music, and while Eurovision is happening in the next week or two (so our annual Eurovision Rock-tacular is just around the corner) it’s time for some good old fashioned Rock ‘n Roll.

But if you want to stay up to date with the Eurovision Song Contest, you could do far worse than subscribe to my Unofficial Eurovision Song Contest Podcast.

The fun continues, with no idea who actually won. But enough about the UK General Election, because where there is discord, we bring power chords; where we need harmony, we bring harmonics, and where there is a brand new sound, we play it here.

The future of coalition government is rock!

Strictly speaking there’s still a bundle of music from SXSW to get through, but there’s too much good music hitting my email box, while there’s no longer an “Austin retrospective” heading on these posts, there’s still a lot of influence from American’s Music Capital.

Because music is for all year, not just a week in March.
